Polish gas monopolist gets new CEO

Poland's oil and gas company PGNiG has appointed Paweł Majewski its new CEO. Majewski, who is currently the CEO of Poland's second-biggest petroleum company Lotos, will take over on Thursday, replacing Jerzy Kwieciński.

Majewski's track record includes a number of major companies from the consumer, industrial, airport and financial sectors. His term of office as PGNiG's CEO will expire in January 2023.

Kwieciński, who took PGNiG's helm in January, resigned recently quoting personal reasons.
