Polish foresters bring 100 seedlings to Pope

Polish foresters brought 100 oak tree seedlings to a general audience with the Pope. The saplings will be planted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence.
The Pope greeted the Polish foresters and the General State Forest Directorate during Wednesday's audience.
"They brought 100 oak tree seedlings, which will be planted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, and will be a symbol of involvement in the protection of the environment," said the pope.
He also greeted pilgrims from Ukraine and ensured them that he is praying for the "healing of wounds caused by the war, as well as for the gift of peace for the beloved lands of Ukraine."
