Polish flag carrier LOT resumes Budapest-Seoul flights

Polish national airline LOT on Monday reinstated its direct Budapest-Soul connection after a four-month suspension due to the coronavirus epidemic, Budapest Airport operator has announced.

The outbound and inbound flight will be held once a week, on Mondays.

LOT launched the connection just last autumn and serviced it with its Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes that can carry 294 passengers. The connection proved popular, particularly among South Koreans, with air traffic between Budapest and Seoul growing by 50 percent between September 2019 and March 2020, when the connection was suspended.
