Polish firms receive EUR 12.9 billion under anti-crisis package

Over 325,300 companies employing 3.02 million people have so far received PLN 58.14 billion (EUR 12.9 billion) under the Polish Development Fund's (PFR) financial shield amid the coronavirus pandemic, PFR said on Monday.

Micro companies received PLN 17.7 billion (EUR 3.9 billion) while PLN 40.4 billion (EUR 8.9 billion) was directed to small and medium sized companies, PFR reported on its website.

The PFR Financial Shield is a government programme of financial support for companies hit by the coronavirus epidemic. It is directed to SMEs and is worth PLN 100 billion (EUR 22.2 bln).
