Polish archaeologists develop digital guide to southern Jordan

Archaeologists from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, southern Poland, have developed a professional, digital guide to southern Jordan, which includes not only information about the nature and landscapes but also a word about Polish research in the region.

The southernjordanguide.com website contains tabs dedicated to the nature, landscapes and tourism of Jordan. The publication also includes practical information about places to stay and take a break. Visitors can also read about Polish scientific research conducted in Jordan. The guide is available in three languages: Polish, English and Arabic.

According to the guide's authors, this is the first publication dedicated to southern Jordan. As the website states, this part of the world is a "treasury of knowledge about our past" and as such should be an "unceasing field of scientific activity."

The guide was created with financial support from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
