Poland's flagship airline PLL LOT will lay off up to 300 staff under an agreement sealed on Wednesday with the company's unions.

The layoffs have been forced on LOT by the coronavirus pandemic and EU restrictions on public aid, the airline said in a statement.

Half of the laid-off staff will leave employment in the first half of this year. The remaining 150 will leave over the coming two years, during which they will reach retirement age, LOT said.
