Polish agri-food exports seen at EUR 23.1 bln after 3Q - gov't agency

Exports of agri-food products reached EUR 23.1 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2019, up 5.8 percent year on year, the Polish Centre for the Support of Agriculture (KOWR) said on Friday citing finance ministry data.

At the same time, imports totalled EUR 15.5 billion, a 5.2 percent increase.

"As a result, the trade surplus rose by 7.2 percent to EUR 7.6 billion," KOWR said.

Established in 2017, the Polish Centre for the Support of Agriculture is a government executive agency whose tasks include the promotion of Polish agriculture, administration of state-owned land and supervision over strategic agricultural companies.
