Poland’s ski jumping team will compete in the opening round of the annual Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, Germany, on Tuesday after testing negative for Covid-19.

On Monday the team had been excluded after one of them, Klemens Murańka, had returned a positive test.

"Our ski jumpers will compete in Oberstdorf. Negative results for the entire team," the Polish Skiing Association announced on Twitter.

Another Covid test for Murańka had come back negative, clearing him and the team to jump.

The Oberstdorf World Cup event kicks off the Four Hills Tournament, and Poland's seven-man team includes Kamil Stoch, and Dawid Kubacki who are among the favourites for the title.

The individual competition is planned for Tuesday.
