Poles invest more in foreign stock markets

Polish investors are increasingly interested in investing in foreign markets, with such total investments reaching PLN 2 billion (EUR 455 mln) only in June, the Rzeczpospolita daily wrote on Tuesday citing the data of NBP, Poland's central bank.

"This is the largest monthly increase in over four years," according to Rzeczpospolita.

In the whole second quarter of this year, Poles invested a total of PLN 5 billion in foreign equity securities, mainly on New York, London, Paris and Frankfurt stock exchanges, the daily added.

Diversification of portfolios is a natural trend, Warsaw Stock Exchange operator's management board member Piotr Borowski told the newspaper.
