Pole homes gold at Biathlon European Championship

Polish biathlonist Kamila Żuk has won gold and the European title in the 10 kilometre pursuit category at the Biathlon European Championship in Duszniki-Zdrój, southwestern Poland.
Żuk's medal marks Poland's second gold at the event after Monika Hojnisz-Staręga's in the 15-kilometre run on Wednesday.
Runners-up were Norway's Karoline Erdal and Aasne Skrede, with a loss of respectively 13.4 and 16.2 seconds to Zuk.
The event in Duszniki-Zdrój is the last international biathlon meet ahead of the World Championship on Feb. 10-21 in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
