Children from grades 1 through 3 will return to their schools as of January 18, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski announced on Monday.

All remaining restrictions introduced in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic will remain in force, said Niedzielski.

"We have decided to maintain all additional restrictions beyond January 18 apart from the introduction of full-time teaching in grades 1-3 in primary schools," said Niedzielski

The minister said that the resumption of full-time teaching in grades 1-3 is the "shyest step", which takes into account the risk of further development of the pandemic with the costs of distance learning and children at this age not being in their peer groups.
