Poland's unemployment rate likely down in May - ministry
Poland's unemployment rate in May 2021 likely fell to 6.1 percent from 6.3 percent recorded in the previous month, the Development, Labour and Technology Ministry has announced.
Economists polled by PAP expected the unemployment rate to fall to 6.2 percent.
"An estimated unemployment rate in May 2021 stood at 6.1 percent, down by 0.2 percentage point from April," reads a communique published on Monday.
The number of new job offers reached 112,200 in May, up by 1.9 percent month on month and 48.4 percent year on year.
According to initial data, the number of registered unemployed people decreased to 1,028,300 at the end of May, down by 25,500 or 2.4 percent from April.
