Poland's unemployment rate at 3.4 percent in August - Eurostat
Poland's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.4 percent in August 2018 from 3.5 percent in July, Eurostat announced on Monday.
Eurostat estimated the number of jobless people in Poland at 585,000.
According to Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS), the unemployment rate in Poland fell to 5.8 percent in August 2018 from 5.9 percent a month earlier.
The euro area (EA19) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 8.1 percent in August 2018, down from 8.2 percent in July. This is the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since November 2008.
The EU28 unemployment rate was 6.8 percent in August 2018, stable compared with July 2018. This remains the lowest rate recorded in the EU28 since April 2008, according to Eurostat.
Among the Member States, the lowest unemployment rates in August 2018 were recorded in the Czech Republic (2.5 percent), Germany and Poland (both at 3.4 percent).
