Poland's unemployment rate at 2.9 pct in April - Eurostat
Poland's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate reached 2.9 percent in April 2020, unchanged from March, Eurostat, the EU's statistical office reported on Wednesday.
The number of unemployed amounted to 503,000, against 495,000 in March.
According to Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS), Poland's unemployment grew to 5.8 percent in April 2020 from 5.4 percent in March.
The difference between GUS and Eurostat figures results from the use of different methodologies.
The euro area (EA19) seasonally-adjusted unemployment grew to 7.3 percent in April 2020 from 7.1 percent in March.
The EU28 average unemployment rate in April 2020 went up to 6.6 percent from 6.4 percent in March.
