Poland's ski jumper Kamil Stoch finishes second at Four Hills opener

Polish ski jumper Kamil Stoch took second place in the opening event of the annual prestigious Four Hills Tournament at Obersdorf in Germany, on Tuesday.

Stoch, three-time Olympic gold medalist, posted jumps of 125 and 132.5 metres to finish narrowly behind Germany's Karl Geiger.

Marius Lindvik of Norway came third.

Stoch's team mate Andrzej Stekala ended the competition in seventh place.

The Four Hills Tournament is part of the ski-jumping World Cup circuit. It features a series of four events taking place in Germany and Austria every year.

The next competition is scheduled for January 1 at Germany’s Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
