Poland's Q1 growth 'visibly lower' than in previous quarter - MinFin

Poland's economic growth in the first quarter of 2020 was still positive but "visibly lower" than the 3.2 percent annual growth rate posted in the previous quarter, Deputy Finance Minister Leszek Skiba wrote in an answer to an MP query.
Skiba said his prediction was based on hard data for January and February and forecasts for March.
The coronavirus epidemic and the related national restrictions have put large parts of the Polish economy on hold. The first limitations were announced on March 8, with a general lockdown imposed on March 24.
The country's Central Statistical Office (GUS) plans to publish a flash estimate of the first quarter GDP growth on May 15.
