Poland's online sales down in June - stats office

The share of online sales in Poland's retail sales fell to 7.7 percent in June from 9.1 percent in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office said on Tuesday.

GUS added that the decrease in online sales was reported by enterprises of the textiles, clothing and footwear sectors (from 26.8 percent a month before to 19.5 percent), as well as by entities selling press, books, and other specialized stores (respectively from 25.2 percent to 21.8 percent).

Also, enterprises from the industries specialising in furniture, TV, and household appliances, reported drops in online sales from 15.6 percent in May to 14.1 percent in June.

GUS also reported that in June, compared to the previous month, retail online sales in current prices decreased by 7.5 percent.
