Poland's manufacturing surges y/y in August - stats office

Poland's industrial output rose by 13.2 percent year on year in August 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Monday.

Month on month, industrial output decreased by 2.5 percent.

Economists polled by PAP expected August's manufacturing to grow by 13.8 percent year on year and to fall by 2.0 percent month on month.

Seasonally adjusted industrial production went up by 10.7 percent year on year and fell by 0.3 percent month on month in August.

Manufacturing prices went up by 9.5 percent year on year in August and by 0.6 percent month on month, GUS reported.

Economists surveyed by PAP expected August's producer prices to go up by 9.2 percent year on year and by 0.7 percent month on month.
