Poland's lower house to hold special sitting on coronavirus

The Sejm (lower house) will hold a special sitting devoted to the coronavirus threat, Deputy Sejm Speaker Ryszard Terlecki announced on Thursday.
On Wednesday, President Andrzej Duda asked Sejm (lower house) Speaker Elzbieta Witek to convene a special sitting of the house to hear a government report on the coronavirus threat.
According to the president, parliament should pass adequate legislature which would help in the possible struggle with coronavirus.
Sejm Speaker Elzbieta Witek said Thursday that there will be one item on the agenda of the Monday sitting - the government's report on "steps taken and the current situation" regarding coronavirus.
The sitting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
