Poland's Lisek wins bronze in pole vault at IAAF World Championships

Poland's Piotr Lisek came third in the IAAF World Championships Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday. The United States' Sam Kendricks defended his world champion title and Sweden's Armand Duplantis came second.

Lisek passed 5.87 m, but then failed to clear 5.92 m. He moved the target to 5.97 m for the next two attempts, but failed both.

It is Lisek's third World Championships medal after the 2015 bronze he won in Beijing and the 2017 silver won in London.
