Poland's Leading Economic Indicator up in June - BIEC

The Leading Economic Indicator (WWK), which forecasts future economic activity in Poland, went up by 9 points m/m to 144.3 points in June 2020, the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) said on Friday.

In the previous month, it had dropped by 6 points.

"The first pandemic shock has already passed, but much is still needed to catch up with losses and to enter a growth path. There are still a lot of uncertainties related both to the future course of the pandemic and its impact on the economy," BIEC wrote in a comment to its research.
