Poland's Kubacki secures double win at Ski Jumping World Cup event

Polish ski-jumper Dawid Kubacki secured a second win during the Ski Jumping World Cup 2019/20 in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany, on Sunday after winning on Saturday as well.

It was Kubacki's third victory at a Ski Jumping World Cup competition. Austria's Stefan Kraft took second place and Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi came in third.

Two other Polish jumpers were ranked in the top ten, Kamil Stoch and Piotr Żyła, who took eigth and ninth place, respectively.

Kubacki is now in fourth place in the general World Cup ranking, having secured 664 points, while Germany's Karl Geiger is in the lead with 841 points.

Polish President Andrzej Duda congratulated Kubacki on Twitter, writing "Bravo! Thank you! The team are fighting and we, the fans, are keeping our fingers crossed for the rest of the season and the Crystal Globe of the World Cup 2019/20."
