Poland's industrial production rose by 5.1 percent year on year in May 2019, after growing by 6.6 percent year on year in April, the European Union's statistics office, Eurostat, reported on Friday.

Industrial production in the eurozone fell by 0.5 percent y/y and grew by 0.9 percent m/m in May, Eurostat said.

According to Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS), the country's industrial output rose by 7.7 percent year on year in May, after a 9.2 percent increase year on year in April.

Differences between GUS and Eurostat data may arise from the application of different calculation methods.
