Poland's industrial production up in August - Eurostat
Poland's industrial production rose by 5.0 percent year on year in August 2018, after growing by 7.8 percent in July, the European Union's statistics office, Eurostat, reported on Friday.
Industrial production in the euro zone rose by 0.9 percent year on year and by 0.1 percent month on month in August, Eurostat said.
According to Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS), the country's
industrial output rose by 5.0 percent year on year in August 2018, after a 10.3 percent increase year on year in July.
In month-on-month terms, industrial production went up by 0.8 percent after a 5.4 percent decline in July, GUS said.
Differences between GUS and Eurostat data may arise from the application of different calculation methods.
