Poland's industrial production up 4.9 pct y/y in Feb - stats office

Poland's industrial output rose by 4.9 percent year on year in February 2020, after a 4.5 percent increase year on year in January, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday.

Month on month, industrial production rose by 2.2 percent in February after a 4.5 increase in January.

Economists polled by PAP expected February's industrial output to increase by 1.9 percent year on year and by 0.2 percent month on month.

January's seasonally adjusted industrial production index grew by 3.2 percent year on year and went up by 1.3 percent month on month, GUS added.

Industrial production prices went up by 0.1 percent year on year in February and fell by 0.2 percent month on month, GUS reported.

According to economists surveyed by PAP, producer prices were expected to go up by 0.3 percent year on year and remain unchanged month-on-month.
