Poland's industrial production up 1.0 pct y/y in Oct. - stats office

Poland's industrial output rose by 1.0 percent year on year in October 2020, after a 5.9-percent increase year on year in September, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

Month on month, industrial production rose by 3.2 percent in October after a 15.5-percent decrease in September.

Economists polled by PAP expected October's industrial output to rise by 0.7 percent year on year, and to increase by 2.8 percent month on month.

September's seasonally adjusted industrial production index went down by 3.8 percent year on year, and dropped by 1.6 percent month on month, GUS added.

Industrial production prices went down 0.4 percent year on year in October and rose by 0.4 percent month on month, GUS reported.

According to economists surveyed by PAP, producer prices were expected to go down by 0.8 percent year on year and rise by 0.2 percent month on month.
