Poland's industrial production soars in May - stats office

Poland's industrial output rose by 29.8 percent year on year in May 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Monday.

Month on month, industrial production decreased by 0.8 percent in May.

Economists polled by PAP expected May's industrial output to rise by 29.0 percent year on year and to drop by 1.4 percent month on month.

The seasonally-adjusted industrial production went up by 29.7 percent year on year and by 0.8 percent month on month in May.

Industrial production prices went up by 6.5 percent year on year in May and by 0.8 percent month on month, GUS reported.

Economists surveyed by PAP expected producer prices to go up up by 5.9 percent year on year and by 0.4 percent month on month.
