Poland's GDP up 4.9 pct y/y in 4th quarter - stats office
The Polish economy grew by 4.9 percent year on year in the fourth quarter of 2018, in line with an earlier flash estimate, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday.
In the third quarter of 2018, Poland’s GDP increased by 5.1 percent y/y.
GUS data also showed that the country's investment grew by 6.7 pct, individual consumption by 4.3 pct and domestic demand by 4.8 pct year on year in the October-December quarter.
Economists polled by PAP in early February expected investment to grow by 6.8 pct, individual consumption to rise by 4.0 pct and domestic demand to increase by 4.2 pct.
