Poland's GDP grows 3.6 pct y/y in Q3 - stats office

Poland's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.6 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2022, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday.

The figure is slightly higher than the previous flash estimate in which GUS said that in Q3 GDP growth would be at 3.5 percent year on year.

In the Q2 2022, the country's GDP rose by 5.8 percent year on year, GUS said.

Investment went up by 2.0 percent year on year, private consumption increased by 0.9 percent and domestic demand rose by 3.1 percent in the Q3 2022, according to GUS.

Economists polled by PAP expected investments to rise by 4.5 percent year on year, while private consumption and domestic demand were seen up by 2.4 and 3.1 percent, respectively.
