Poland's foreign trade surplus at EUR 1.2 bln in 2019 - stats office

Poland's foreign trade deficit reached EUR 1.2 billion last year, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

Exports totalled EUR 238.1 billion in 2018 and were up by 6.5 percent while imports rose by 3.9 percent y/y to EUR 237.0 billion.

According to preliminary data from February 2020, Poland's foreign trade surplus was to reach EUR 1.8 billion in 2019, with exports going up by 5.5 percent y/y, while imports were to grow by 2.6 percent year on year.

In 2018, Poland recorded a EUR 4.6 billion deficit in foreign trade.
