Poland's FinMin to run for European Development Bank's top seat

Finance Minister Tadeusz Kościński announced on Wednesday he will run for the post of president of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Minister Kościński told PAP that the future of EBRD, one of the most important financial institutions in the world, is extremely important for Poland as well as other countries focusing on further fast economic development.
Kościński was appointed Poland's finance minister November 2019. He has 30 years of experience working for Polish and foreign banks.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was established in 1989 to help build a new, post-Cold War era in Central and Eastern Europe.
