Poland's economy grew by 2.0 percent in Q4 2022 - stats office

Poland's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 2.0 percent year on year in the fourth quarter of 2022, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Tuesday, adding that this was in line with its earlier flash estimate.

Poland's economy expanded by 3.6 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2022, after a 5.8-percent growth in the second quarter.

According to GUS, investments rose by 4.9 percent year on year in the fourth quarter, private consumption fell by 1.5 percent while domestic demand increased by 1.1 percent.

Economists polled by PAP expected investments would go up by 5.2 percent year on year in Q4 2022, private consumption would go down by 1.5 percent and domestic demand would increase by 1.3 percent year on year.
