Poland's economic growth down to 2 pct in 2020 in pessimistic scenario

Polish Economic Institute analysts fear that, in a pessimistic scenario, the coronovirus epidemic will lower Poland's economic growth in 2020 by 1.3 percentage point to around 2 percent.

Earlier forecasts spoke about a GDP increase at 3-3.5 percent in 2020.

More than 126,000 people have been infected by the coronavirus across the world and 4,624 have died. The virus broke out in Wuhan, China, late last year.
