Poles transferred to non-governmental organisations (NGO) PLN 874.4 million (EUR 199 million) in 2019, PLN 110.5 million (EUR 25.3 million) more than in the previous year, the Finance Ministry said on Monday.

Finance, Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski observed that the Polish government eased the tax settlement for Poles with an e-PIT service.

The one percent tax donation to charities and NGOs was made by 14.5 mln taxpayers, 0.4 mln more than in the previous year. The average amount transferred to NGOs was PLN 60 (EUR 13.7) in 2019.

In 2018, one percent tax donation totalled PLN 763.9 mln (EUR 174.6 mln).
