Poland's C/A deficit up in Q4 - central bank

Poland's current account deficit rose to EUR 4.73 billion at the end of the fourth quarter of 2021, against a deficit of EUR 3.36 billion recorded at the end of the third quarter, according to central bank figures released on Thursday.

Poland's gross foreign debt increased to EUR 320.37 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021 from EUR 317.11 billion in the previous quarter, after correction, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said.

Government debt fell to EUR 89.96 billion from 95.44 billion in the same period, while the remaining sectors' debt increased to EUR 70.36 billion from EUR 68.39 billion, after correction, NBP reported.
