Poland's average corporate wage up 11.9 pct y/y in August - stats office

Poland's average corporate gross monthly wage rose by 11.9 percent year on year to PLN 7,368.97 (EUR 1,587) in August 2023, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Wednesday.

In monthly terms, the average wage went down by 1.6 percent.

Economists polled by PAP expected a 11.8-percent annual increase in the corporate wage in August and 1.5-percent decrease from July.

August's corporate employment remained unchanged year on year and went down by 0.2 percent month on month.
