Poland wins two gold medals at canoe championships

Oleksii Koliadych of Poland won the world championship in C1 200m canoe sprint on Saturday, while Karolina Naja, Anna Puławska, Adrianna Kakol and Dominika Putto scooped the gold in K4 500m race.

Koliadych, originally from Ukraine but now representing Poland, won the non-Olympic C1 200m sprint at the 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Halifax, Canada, beating Germany's Nico Pickert, who came second, and Kazakhstan's Viktor Stepanov, who was third.

The Polish women team beat Australia and Mexico in the 500m race.
