Poland transfers EUR 108 mln for coronavirus fight

The Polish government transferred close to PLN 470 mln (EUR 108 mln) from the general and specific provisions for the prevention and fighting of coronavirus, Finance Minister Tadeusz Koscinski said on Twitter on Tuesday.

"PLN 350 mln (EUR 81 mln) from the Agency of Material Reserves was used to replenish strategic reserves. Nearly PLN 100 mln (EUR 23 mln) are funds for hospitals and emergency medical services, as requested by province governors," Koscinski also wrote.

Some of the funds will be used for information campaigns, he added.

"We treat coronavirus-related applications as priority," the minister said.
