Poland to have EUR 14 bln for digital R&D in new financial framework

Around PLN 60 billion (EUR 14 bln) will be available for research and development of digital technology in the EU financial framework for 2021-2027, Funds and Regional Policy Minister Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak said in Rzeszów, southeast Poland, on Wednesday.
Funds will also be available in centrally managed programmes, such as the Horizon Europe scientific research programme, which will have EUR 100 billion at its disposal, she told the conference "Perspectives for the development of the Internet of Things - local-government of the future".
The conference in Rzeszów is one in a series of regional meetings organised throughout the country as workshops for local government officials and local companies. Its participants discuss projects in the field of the Internet of Things and other modern technologies that contribute to improving the service of citizens, improve management efficiency and contribute to saving energy.
The events, organised by the President's Office are an opportunity to present the possibility of obtaining financing for innovative projects as part of digital transformation in Poland.
