Poland through to Europe 2022 handball finals

Despite losing 32:30 to the Netherlands in Almere on Sunday, Poland's men's handball team advanced to next year's European Championships, which will be held in Hungary and Slovakia.

After beating Slovenia in Opole, southwestern Poland, the Polish handball team were in a comfortable position with a draw against the Netherlands sufficient to see them through to the finals and not even a defeat ending their chances.

The team, trained by coach Patryk Rombel, qualified thanks to advantageous results in other groups and will play in the finals of the European Championships in January next year.
