Poland should make use of Israel's experience in water management, Agriculture Minister Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski said on Wednesday after talks in Warsaw with outgoing Israeli Ambassador to Poland Anna Azari.

Ardanowski, who met with Azari in his capacity as head of the Polish parliament's Polish-Israeli Parliamentary Group, said water management, irrigation and water improvement could be among the major cooperation areas between Poland and Israel.

During the meeting, Azari thanked the Polish-Israeli group for its support in events of importance to Jews, like recent liberation anniversary observations on the site of the Nazi-German Auschwitz death camp in southern Poland, the main Holocaust site, or the annual March of the Living at the same location.

Azari took up her office in Poland in 2014, she is to be replaced by her successor in September.
