Poland reports 6,633 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, 85 deaths

Poland recorded 6,633 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 85 deaths over the past 24 hours to Saturday morning, against 8,241 cases reported on Friday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

The healthcare system is now handling 5,675 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 5,913 recorded the day prior, including 361 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,361 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.

The Health Ministry also reported that 49,084 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,280,984 people have recovered and 114,821 have died.

In all, Poland has already distributed 53,870,219 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,335,445 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,445,356 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
