Poland reports 4,053 new coronavirus cases on Friday, 74 deaths

Poland recorded 4,053 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 74 deaths over the past 24 hours to Friday morning, against 4,997 cases reported on Thursday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

The healthcare system is now handling 4,049 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 4,544 recorded the day prior, including 268 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,298 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.

The Health Ministry also reported that 7,207 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,329,239 people have recovered and 115,247 have died.

In all, Poland has already distributed 53,939,224 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,350,472 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,492,289 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
