Poland reports 3,494 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, seven deaths

Poland recorded 3,494 new confirmed coronavirus cases and seven deaths over the past 24 hours to Sunday morning, against 6,633 cases reported on Saturday, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

The healthcare system is now handling 5,347 Covid-19 hospitalisations, down from 5,675 recorded the day prior, including 340 patients on ventilators, against a total of 1,333 ventilators available, the Health Ministry said on Twitter.

The Health Ministry also reported that 38,965 people are under quarantine. So far, 5,283,971 people have recovered and 114,828 have died.

 In all, Poland has already distributed 53,880,551 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with 22,338,081 people having been fully vaccinated, of whom 11,451,997 have also had a booster jab, according to data posted on the official government website, gov.pl.
