Poland receives Pfizer vaccine, AstraZeneca tranche soon

On Monday morning Poland received 507,000 doses of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, the national Strategic Reserves Agency informed.

The agency's head, Michal Kuczmierowski, told PAP that 660,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were expected on Wednesday.

So far around 3.9 million Poles have taken the first dose of the two-phase Covid-19 vaccine, close to 2 million are fully inoculated. In all, medical teams have performed over 5.8 million vaccinations under a national inoculation programme launched on December 27.
