Poland has received a total of 1,051,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and 456,000 doses have arrived at hospitals which are part of the distribution network, the government's commissioner for the vaccination programme said on Monday.

Michal Dworzyk added that 50 percent of the vaccines have been stored with the Material Reserves Agency, to guarantee that patients receiving the first dose have a second allocated.

"Only after the second dose do we achieve full resistance and we don't want patients to be exposed to any logistical problems on the part of the producer," Dworczyk explained.
