Poland is the number-three country in terms of aid granted to Ukraine, as measured by its ratio to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), recent data from a German think tank has shown.

According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), the first place in the ranking of countries providing aid to Ukraine belongs to Latvia, which grants around 0.92 percent of its GDP.

Estonia comes in second place, followed by Poland, with assistance to Ukraine worth respectively 0.85 and 0.49 percent of GDP, the institute found.

Further down in the ranking are Lithuania, Norway, the United States and the United Kingdom.
