Poland offers Covid jab for children under 5

Children under the age of 5 will be able to receive Covid-19 shots from December 12, the health minister announced on Thursday.

In October, the European Medicines Agency advised the European Commission to approve Covid vaccines made by Moderna and Pfizer for children from the age of six months.

"From December 12, children aged 6 months to 4 years can be registered for vaccination against Covid-19, Adam Niedzielski told a press conference on Thursday.

He added that there are nearly 2 million children in this age group in Poland.
