Poland's development model must be based on Polish knowledge capital, PM Mateusz Morawiecki said during his visit to the visual systems company Scanway in the south-western city of Wroclaw on Saturday.

The prime minister said that Scanway, an innovative company established by Polish engineers, "sends satellites and creates innovative products."

Scanway's example shows that Poland needs to adopt a development model that is based on knowledge capital, according to Morawiecki.

Morawiecki said that Scanway's solutions can be used in such sectors as pharmaceuticals and food production. "Poland has seen more and more such companies and thanks to them we retain talent in Poland," he said.

The Wroclaw-based company employs more than 20 engineers and runs both large projects for the space industry and tailored solutions for Polish and foreign producers, Scanway says on its website.
