Poland is Europe's most friendly country for drone business operators, and the second best in the world, a state-run economic institute has reported.

Singapore took first place in the world from the 35 surveyed economies, the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) said quoting the Drone Industry Insights ranking compiled by consulting firm DRONEII.com.

Poland's assets include a high number of drone operators and simplicity of procedures in acquiring drone licences. "The integration of Poland's air infrastructure has also received the top score," PIE said.

Poland has also scored high in the HR competence of operators, aviation regulations, and real-time air navigation management.

Factors that could be improved include regulating automated flights over cities, streamlining administrative procedures and improving third-party privacy protection.
